Delhiites woke to a pleasant day and overcast skies Thursday. The minimum temperature settled a notch below average for the season at 25.8 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast rain during the day.
"The skies will remain generally cloudy with rain and thunderstorms in some areas," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature settled at 36.6 degrees Celsius, three notches below average for the season.
"The mximum temperature is likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius," the IMD official said.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 92 percent.
The city received 0.6 mm of rainfall from Wednesday 8.30 a.m. to Thursday 8.30 a.m.. Since the monsoon's arrival in June, Delhi has received 485.1 mm of rain, 40 percent more than average.
Wednesday's maximum temperature settled three notches below average at 30.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature settled a notch below average at 25.3 degrees Celsius.
