"The sky would remain cloudy with a possibility of development of thunder lightning," an official of the India Meteorological Department said.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 39 degrees Celsius, while on Saturday the maximum temperature was 39.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
On Saturday evening, strong wind kicked up a dust storm in the national capital bringing respite from the heat wave.
The minimum temperature on Saturday was 28.9 degrees, six notches above the season's average.
