All infrastructure targets for the current financial year across various sectors in India are broadly on track regarding their timeline for completion, the government said on Monday.

This was conveyed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a review meeting under the government's Pro-Active Governance And Timely Implementation (Pragati) interactive platform, the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

"The prime minister was informed that good progress is being made in 62 crucial infrastructure projects that have been reviewed so far over seven meetings of 'Pragati'," the PMO said.

Modi was informed of the progress in providing electricity to all unconnected villages within 1,000 days, as well as connecting all villages through broadband by 2022, it added.

Modi also reviewed the progress in sectors such as renewable energy, piped natural gas, irrigation, roads and railways.

NITI Aayog vice chairman Arvind Panagariya and senior officials of the PMO, the NITI Aayog and concerned ministries were present at the meeting.

The Pragati platform uniquely bundles three latest technologies - digital data management, video-conferencing and geo-spatial technology. It allows the prime minister to discuss the issues with the concerned central and state officials with full information and latest visuals of the ground level situation.
