PM, Sonia express grief over Rajasthan accident

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday condoled the death of 15 people, who were electrocuted in a bus in Rajasthan's Tonk district.

"The bus incident at Tonk, Rajasthan is very heart-rending. My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives," Modi said in a message.

Extending her condolences to the families of the deceased, Congress president Sonia Gandhi hoped immediate relief and compensation were being provided.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "Very sad to hear about the tragedy in Tonk, Rajasthan. My condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this incident."

The bus carrying a wedding party came in contact with a high tension wire near Saans village, around 100 km from Jaipur, leaving 15 people dead and 35 others with injured.
