Newly-signed Manchester United star Paul Pogba will be suspended for the club's opening English Premier League football game of the season against Bournemouth on Sunday, according to the English Football Association.
The midfielder joined United from Juventus for a world record transfer fee 89 million pounds (around $105 million) on Tuesday.
There was speculation he could make his debut against Bournemouth despite taking a holiday in the United States following France's Euro 2016 final defeat to Portugal and only starting pre-season training this week.
However, his name has appeared on a list of four players tweeted by the FA on Friday as suspended for this weekend's fixtures, including his United team-mate Chris Smalling.
"With the #PLkickoff this weekend, did you know four players are serving suspensions?" Football Association tweeted on Friday with the names.

The ban relates to two yellow cards issued in last season's Coppa Italia. The second card came in the final, which was his last game for Juventus.
Robert Huth of Leicester City and Moussa Dembele of Tottenham Hotspur are also suspended.
Pogba's United debut is now likely to be against Southampton at the Old Trafford ground on next Friday.
