Delhi Police to be present at all banks, ATMs on Thursday

In a bid to avoid any untoward incident, Delhi Police has made elaborate arrangements to ensure law and order at all banks to facilitate the demonetisation policy, police said.

The arrangements include police arrangements at ATMs, and at all petrol pumps to ensure law and order, at Kendriya Bhandars, Safal centres, Pharmacies, hospitals, Mother Dairy booths among others.

"The Banks have been requested to put up proper notice with details at all bank gates requesting people to be patient and cooperate. Apart from police deployment, patrolling staff will also be covering all vulnerable premises," the officer said.

Police arrangements will commence from 9 am on Thursday.
 
Maximum staff has been mobilised from all Districts and Units of Delhi Police and all senior officers including DCPs and Joint CPs will be closely supervising the arrangements ensuring incident free day, he added.
