Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said he will ensure that Delhi becomes the safest city in the world, once it attains full statehood.
Addressing public gatherings in south Delhi, he also asked people to vote for his Aam Aadmi Party for the speedy development of the city.
"Politics should be played only during the elections. After that we all should work together. It does not befit the Prime Minister that he stalls the development work in Delhi, the capital of the country. The development of Delhi should be the responsibility of all parties," he said.
"When you step out to vote this time, make sure you don't vote for those who obstructed development work in Delhi. When Delhi attains full statehood, we would reform the system so that nobody would dare trouble any girl out at any time during the day or night," he added.
