Thirty one additional seats have been created in the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla, while eight seats have been added in the Rajendra Prasad Medical College in Tanda town, a government spokesperson told IANS.
He said the extra seats would be filled from this session.
State Health Minister Kaul Singh informed the assembly on Friday that efforts were on to start the first batch of MBBS with 100 seats in the ESI Medical College near Mandi town.
