Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday advocated introduction of PPP (public private partnership) model to give a boost to the country's mineral exploration sector.
According to the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines, a PPP model could give a fillip to mineral exploration.
Goyal was speaking at a conference on 'Indian Mining Industry 2030 - Way Forward', which was organised by Ficci jointly with the Ministry of Mines.
Addressing industry's concerns, Goyal said that high value, strategic and import substitution minerals are priority for exploration.
Goyal assured the industry that the issue of "wide differences" in stamp duty in various states would be addressed by the centre in consultation with the states.
