This Czech Republic capital is in the final stages of the contest for the new seat of the global headquarters of Unicef, which is now located in New York.
Finance Minister Andrej Babis said on his Twitter account that Unicef representatives discussed this issue Tuesday with the ministries of finance and foreign affairs, Xinhua reported.
"Let's fight about it," wrote Babis on his twitter account.
The UN arm plans moving from New York to another city to reduce its operating costs, and Prague is one of the four shortlisted cities. The other three are Budapest, Nairobi and Kuala Lumpur.
Director of the Czech Unicef Committee, Pavla Gomba, said that the final decision on the new location should be taken by the beginning of December.
