President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday greeted his Ecuadorian counterpart and the people of the South American country on the eve of their national day.
"On behalf of the government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the people of Ecuador on the occasion of your National Day," Mukherjee said in a message to President Rafael Vicente Correa Delgado.
He said India and Ecuador have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations.
"I am confident that your visit to India later this year will contribute to the further strengthening of our bilateral ties and the realization of the full potential of our cooperation - for the mutual benefit of our two peoples. I look forward to working with you towards this shared objective," he added.
