President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Republic of Lithuania on the eve of its National Day.
The National Day of erstwhile Soviet Union state of Lithunia is on February 16. The east Europian nation was recently ranked first among 79 developing economies by World Economic Forum's 'Inclusive Growth and Development Report 2017'.
"On behalf of the government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to your Excellency and to the people of the Republic of Lithuania on the occasion of your National Day," Mukherjee said in a message to Lithuania President Dalia Grybauskaite.
Mukherjee said that India and Lithuania have always shared warm and cordial relations and added that he is confident that the two governments will work together in future.

"I also take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your Excellency's good health and well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Lithuania," the President added.
