President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate CII Agro Tech 2016, a four-day agro technology and business fair, here on November 20, it was announced on Tuesday.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin would be the guest of honour at the event.
"Israel is the partner country for the 12th edition of CII Agro Tech while focus countries are Canada and Germany. In addition, it will also feature strong participation from Europe and Asia, showcasing the latest technology and state-of-the-art equipment in the agriculture sector," an official statement quoting CII Agro Tech Chairperson Rumjhum Chatterjee said.
The theme for this year is 'Building Global Competitiveness'.
The fair will also see India-Israel roundtable on precision agriculture.
Delegates from Tel Aviv University and Volcani Centre Israel are also taking part and will apprise their Indian counterparts on how to leverage Israel technology and expertise at the agro tech.
