President Pranab Mukherjee will be in Karnataka on a two-day visit from July 27 to participate in a couple of official functions in the city, at Mysuru and Kalaburgi in the state's northern region, it was announced on Friday.
"The president will participate in the centenary celebrations of the University of Mysore at Mysuru on the first day of the visit," an official statement said.
On the same day, Mukherjee will inaugurate the centenary celebrations of the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) here.
He will leave for Kalaburgi, 650 km from here, on July 28 to participate in the second annual convocation of the Central University of Karnataka.
Flying back to Bengaluru on the same day, Mukherjee will inaugurate the magneto encephalography equipment and dedicate the renovated heritage building of the state-run National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (Nimhans).
"The president will return to New Delhi on the same evening," the statement added.
