People residing in colonies near the Indian Air Force (IAF) ammunition depot here, Friday protested against administration's demolition drive. The difference - protest this time were led by Congress leader while BJP leaders, some of them MLAS now, led the protests during Congress rule.
The Gurgaon district administration had Wednesday demolished some illegal constructions in the restricted area near the depot after a satellite survey of the area revealed new constructions.
Congress state spokesperson and senior leader Khan Singh and other leaders headed the protest Friday.
Earlier, BJP leaders Umesh Aggarwal and Rao Narbir Singh used to lead and support such protests.
Now the situation has been changed: Aggarwal is now a BJP legislator from Gurgaon; Rao Narbir Singh, from Badshahpur seat, is now a cabinet minister.

"Every politician cheated the people; those who were protesting with us a few months ago are out of our reach," a protester told IANS.
Protestors held a march through city streets and handed over a memorandum to Municipal Commissioner Vikas Gupta and Deputy Commissioner T.L. Satya Prakash.
"Congress party was in power in the state for ten years. Their leaders never listened to our problems; now they are with us," said an another protestor.
"Minister Narbir Singh is in Jammu and Kashmir for party's election campaign. Legislator Aggarwal may be busy in some important work," a BJP leader who did not wish to named said.
