Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Friday announced that Italian goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu has left for a season-long loan to Spanish football club Sevilla.
At PSG, goalkeepers Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola are both ahead of Sirigu, who made just three Ligue 1 appearances last season, in the pecking order.
The Italian international will compete with Sergio Rico and David Soria for the No.1 jersey at Sevilla.
Sirigu arrived in Sevilla on Friday prior to his medical.
Sirigu has played 190 games for PSG and won four French championships (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16), two Coupe de France (2014-15, 2015-16), three Coupe de la Ligue (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16) and three Trophee des Champions (2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15), and participated in the historic domestic quadruples of the last two seasons.
