Nineteen-year-old Christian Pulisic has been voted the United States Soccer Federation's Male Player of the Year.
By winning 94 percent of the votes, Pulisic also became the youngest winner of the award on Thursday. Landon Donovan had been the youngest winner, earning the honour at 21 in 2003, reports Xinhua news agency.
The US men's team was knocked out from the Russia World Cup qualifiers, but Pulisic was impressive in the competitions, scoring six goals and dishing out four assists in nine games for the national team this year.
The attacking midfielder was also involved in 13 of the 17 American goals in games he played.
In his first full season with Bundesliga club Dortmund last season, he claimed three goals and three assists in 25 matches.
