Four stray puppies were recently rescued on the sets of TV show "Comedy Nights with Kapil". While two of them died, the remaining ones are now safe in a foster home.

The show's crew had rescued the four puppies and used to feed them too, but after the show's set in Film City here caught fire Sep 25, some members of the crew took them elsewhere, said a source.

From there, one of the pups is said to have been taken away by a leopard, while another was left injured and it died after a few days. Two pups are alive, and now safe in the hands of animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Confirming the same, Sachin Bangera, manager, Media and Celebrity Projects, PETA India, tweeted: "These pups rescued by Kapil Sharma on the sets of 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' are safe now! Thank you from PETA."
