Hate preacher Anjem Choudry was on Tuesday sentenced to five-and-half years imprisonment after being convicted of drumming up support for the Islamic State terror group, the media reported.
The 49-year-old British-born leader of outlawed group Al-Muhajiroun posted a series of YouTube videos recognizing the "caliphate" created by the IS in the territories of Iraq and Syria.
His co-defendant Mohammed Mizanur Rahman received a similar sentence.
