Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, known for her memorable performances in Telugu films such as "Swati Mutyam" and "Swati Kiranam", is returning to the industry after a decade with romantic-drama "Undile Manchi Kaalam Mundu Munduna" (UMKMM).
Radikaa's last Telugu outing was Ram Gopal Varma-directed "Prema Katha" (1999), which earned her the Nandi Award, the highest honour in Telugu cinema, for best supporting actress.
"We were on the lookout for a senior actress to essay an important role in the film. We did have a few names in mind, but finally zeroed in on her. She is a wonderful actress with a lot of experience and I'm confident she will do justice to her part," the film's director Arun Dasyam told IANS.
The film features Sudhakar of "Life is Beautiful" fame in the title role, while the hunt for the leading lady is underway.
Also starring veteran actress Purnima, UMKMM is expected to go on floors soon.
Radikaa, who has starred in over 50 films over the years, is currently keeps her busy with acting work on television. She also produces Tamil films such as "Kannamoochi Yenada" and "Chennaiyil Oru Naal".
