Double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman will release the audio of upcoming Tamil period-drama "Nedunchalai" here July 1, and the film's director Krishna says he feels privileged.
"Despite his busy schedule, Rahman sir will join us for the audio launch. I feel honoured to have him grace our audio function and in some way be associated with our project. I don't think that many will get such an opportunity," Krishna told IANS.
Tamil filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss is also expected to be present at the event.
"We have extended our invitation to him as well. He is likely to join us as well. It would be a gala event if he joins Rahman sir for the launch," he said.
Based on real life events of 1980s, "Nedunchalai" features Aari and Shivatha in the lead roles. It has music by C. Sathya.
Meanwhile, Rahman has been busy working on the background score for Dhanush-starrer upcoming Tamil romantic-drama "Mariyaan".
