Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday met Labour Party leaders and discussed issues such as growing protectionism, trade wars and threat to rule-based international order.
During the meeting, Gandhi referred to the fallout of Brexit and concerns over the change in the UK visa policy for Indian professionals and students.
He also referred to the fall in the number of Indian students in the UK after the closure of Old Tier-1 post study work route.
He said the contribution of Indian doctors and nurses to the National Health Scheme was immense and nothing should be done to hinder the movement of professionals.
Both sides expressed concern over the threats of terrorism.

Gandhi was accompanied by the party's Foreign Affairs Department head Anand Sharma, Overseas Indian Congress Chairman Sam Pitroda and former MP Milind Deora.
