Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will visit West Bengal June 6 to address party workers, a party leader said.
Besides holding a meet with party workers in the city, Gandhi would visit a jute mill in Hooghly district.
"Gandhi would hold a meeting with party workers at the Netaji Indoor Stadium and also visit the Victoria Jute Mill," a Congress leader said.
The visit to the mill comes against the backdrop of a number of jute factories in the state closing down.
Incidentally, Gandhi's trip comes on a day when Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would join Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his two-day visit to Bangladesh.
