Rain played spoilsport again as the third day's play in the Boxing Day Test between India and South Africa was stopped shortly after the tea break at the Kingsmead here Saturday.

South Africa were 299 for five, when the drizzle started forcing the players off the ground. Jacques Kallis, who will retire after the Test match, was batting on 78 and nightwatchman Dale Steyn was yet to open his account when play was stopped.
