Rain and thunderstorms are likely to occur in most places in Karnataka on Wednesday, the Met Office has said.
The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thunderstorms in coastal Karnataka and a few places in interior Karnataka.
Cyclonic storm 'Ashobaa' over northwest Arabian Sea and adjoining areas has moved westwards and is centred around 270 km southeast of Sur (Oman), officials said.
"Ashobaa moved away from Karnataka. No rains are expected in the state due to the impact of 'Ashobaa'," an official said.
The south-west monsoon is active over coastal Karnataka and has further advanced into remaining parts of south interior Karnataka and some parts of north interior Karnataka.
On Tuesday, heavy rainfall was recorded in Panambur, Mangalore and Karwar, officials added. The Met Office has also forecast a cloudy sky with rain and thundershowers in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

The city received a rainfall of 3.7 mm on Tuesday.
The maximum temperature in Bengaluru is likely to be around 31 degrees Celsius while the minimum is expected to be 21 degrees Celsius, officials said.
