Rain and thundershowers would occur at most places in coastal Karnataka and at a few isolated places in the north and south of the state, a meteorological department official said on Tuesday.

The met department warned all fishermen to stay away from the sea as strong winds reaching up to speeds of 45 to 55 km per hour are likely to hit the Karnataka coast.

Karnataka capital Bengaluru will experience a generally cloudy sky on Tuesday. No rainfall was recorded on Monday.

While the minimum temperature in the city would be around 20 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 31 degrees Celsius, the official said.

On Monday, Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 31.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 21.4 degrees Celsius.
