A humid, sunny morning gave way to a rainy and pleasant evening in the capital Saturday with overcast skies and cool winds. The Met office has forecast more rains Sunday.
"The skies will be cloudy tomorrow (Sunday) and parts of the city will be lashed by thunderstorms," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius.
The city received a total of 14.8 mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Saturday.
No traffic snarls were reported from anywhere, said the Delhi Police.
The day's maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 35.5 degrees and the minimum was a notch below average at 26.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity was recorded at 92 percent.
Friday was sunny and humid and the maximum temperature was a notch above average at 35.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 24.8 degrees, two notches below average.
The national capital has recorded 431.4 mm of rain so far.
