The President of the BJP's Rajasthan unit will be appointed in a day or two, a senior party leader said on Thursday.
It has been nearly a month since then state unit chief Ashok Parnami resigned.
Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President Avinash Rai Khanna, incharge of party affairs in the state, said that the name of the new state party chief could not be announced till now since the party leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah, was preoccupied with the Karnataka Assembly elections.
As for Shah's impending visit to Jaipur, Khanna said that the dates are yet to be finalised.
Rajasthan Assembly elections are slated to be held this year.
