The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday discussed and returned two important bills to the Lok Sabha.
The upper house debated for over four hours the Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2016, and the Finance Bill, 2016, which have already been passed by the Lok Sabha.
The bills were returned after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley gave a detailed reply on the members' concern on issues related to the bills.
These bills could not be taken up for consideration in the Rajya Sabha on Monday due to chaos over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on Sonia Gandhi pertaining to the AgustaWestland chopper deal.
On Tuesday, the upper house was in chaos over the Uttarakhand issue and the discussion was then postponed to Wednesday.
