Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anurag Thakur on Monday said millions of people in the country wish that a grand Ram temple should be built in Ayodhya.

Talking to reporters after addressing the national executive of the BJP Yuva Morcha (youth wing), Anurag Thakur, who is its national president and Lok Sabha member, said: "A grand Ram temple in Ayodhya was the dream of millions in the country."

"Though I will not like to comment on the issue as the matter is sub-judice, but, yes, many across the country want a temple should be built," Thakur said.

Praising past one year of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government, he said the nation was heading towards 'Ram Rajya' under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier, the BJP's youth wing also discussed the party's strategy in the times to come.

Over 700 members of the youth wing of the BJP have gathered at the Karsewakpuram in Ayodhya for its national executive. The meet is being attended by senior party leaders, including the party's Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari.
