A police officer was on Wednesday arrested here in Jammu and Kashmir on charges of raping a girl inside a police station.
Muhammad Iqbal Chagatta, then station house officer of Khour police station, was taken into custody after the girl and her parents accused him of rape, a senior police officer told IANS.
The parents of the girl had lodged a FIR accusing a boy of kidnapping and raping their daughter.
The complaint was filed 15 days back after which the police traced both the boy and the girl and lodged them at the Khour police station.
It is alleged that the girl was raped by Chagatta at the police station.
