Rash driver hits five in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 19 (IANS) Four policemen and a pedestrian were injured when a rashly driven car knocked them down at a checkpost in south Mumbai early Friday, police said.

The incident happened when the policemen were on duty near Bombay Gymkhana to catch rash and drunk drivers. A speeding Audi car approached the checkpost and hit the police personnel who were waving it down.

Of the four policemen, constable Sainath Dhuri was admitted to the Bombay Hospital. Police have seized the car and arrested the driver.
