Real Madrid's German international midfielder Toni Kroos has said his team has a "good opportunity" to win titles under the command of Rafael Benitez, who has recently became its coach.
"I think he talks a lot to everyone. He wants to create a good group, a good team for this season," Kroos, currently in Melbourne with the team for a pre-season training tour, said on Friday.
"I think we have a good opportunity with him to win titles. I hope we have a good year," the German player said, as published on Real Madrid's official website.
Kroos unsurprisingly believes that Real Madrid's objective is to "win titles this season," and to try to compensate for last season's failure, when the team came out empty-handed in all competitions.
The German international admitted that winning the Champions League is difficult "because there are always four or five sides who could win it," despite playing on a star-studded squad.
Real Madrid announced signing Rafa Benitez as the team's new coach this summer as the replacement for the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who failed to win any trophies for the club last season.
