The Anil Ambani-led Reliance Power Ltd on Tuesday said it closed the second quarter of the current fiscal with 37 percent growth in net profit on a consolidated basis.
In a statement here, Reliance Power said it posted a net profit of around Rs.346 crore for the quarter ended September 30, this year as against Rs.253 crore for the quarter ended September 30, last year.
According to the company, its total income for the period under review stood at Rs.2,856 crore up from Rs.1,885 crore earned during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
The company said its total operating capacity stood at around 6,000 MW. The overall availability of 90 percent for all operating capacities.
The company said the Sasan ultra mega power project in Madhya Pradesh was operating at an availability of 90 percent while the Rosa power plant in Uttar Pradesh operated at an availability of 87 percent.

Similarly the availability factor for the company's Butibori power plant in Maharashtra was 88 percent; the 40 MW Dhursar solar photo-voltaic plant in Rajasthan was 95 percent; and the 45 MW wind power in Maharashtra was 97 percent.
The 100 MW concentrated solar power in Rajasthan, the largest such project under the government's National Solar Mission, has commenced power generation.
On a standalone basis, Reliance Power has posted a net profit of Rs.9.13 million for the quarter under review -- up from Rs.7.26 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
The company's total income went down to Rs.86.93 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015, from Rs.95.68 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
