In a voluntary car check, French automobile manufacturer Renault India Tuesday recalled units of hatchback Pulse and mid-sized sedan Scala manufactured between September 2011 and July 2012.
"Renault is conducting a voluntary check on certain potentially affected Renault vehicles which may have a possibility of driver air bag problem that was reported to Renault by airbag supplier, Takata," the company said in a statement.
"No incidents associated with this issue have been reported in Renault vehicles so far."
According to the statement, 646 units have been recalled to fix faulty driver-side airbags, including 620 units of Pulse and 26 units of Scala.
