Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit Sunday termed as "speculative" the reports that Chinese troops were conducting weapons training exercises for the Pakistan Army near the Indian border.
"It's all speculative. Let me not comment on speculative stories," he told reporters here.
"These are media stories. I will not comment on speculations," Basit said when his attention was drawn to the media reports.
According to reports, the Border Security Force (BSF) has submitted a report to the National Security Advisor (NSA) that Chinese experts were conducting "weapon handling training" for the Pakistan Army opposite the Rajouri sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
The reports also said the Pakistan Army units were also taking over charge of key posts along the international border from para-military Pakistan Rangers.
