Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery will miss Saturday's top Bundesliga clash against Dortmund due to an injury, the Bavarians announced on their homepage.
The Frenchman, Bayern's key player and UEFA's Best Player in 2013, suffered a rib injury during Tuesday's 3-0 World Cup qualification play off victory over Ukraine, reports Xinhua.
"This is really bitter as I was desperate to play the top match in Dortmund. I'm sure the team can do it without me this time," the midfielder said Thursday.
However, it is not known if Ribery can return for the Champions League's group stage game against CSKA Moskva Wednesday.
Bayern currently top the Bundesliga standings, four points ahead of second placed Dortmund.
