Pop star Rihanna has got a traditional Maori tattoo inked on her right hand.
The 25-year-old decided to get the tattoo as a permanent reminder of her New Zealand tour, reports dailymail.co.uk.
While modern tattoos are usually completed using a needle machine, the traditional Ta Moko tattoos use a chisel, ink pigment and a mallet.
A two-minute video of Rihanna getting the tattoo was posted online.
In the video, the singer can be seen in grey hoodie, trying to maintain her cool while the tattoo artist made the elaborate designs of lines and symbols from her fingernails down to the middle of her forearm.
She got the tattoo from Inia Taylor at the Moko Ink studio in West Auckland.
