Actress Mandira Bedi, seen as government agent Nikita Rai in the TV series "24", says the much appreciated role is perfect for her personality.
"24", an adaptation of an American TV series of the same name, traces Anti-Terrorist Unit's chief Jai Singh Rathore's life, where he struggles to prevent the assassination of the prime ministerial candidate and save his wife and daughter being kidnapped by terrorists.
In the series, Anil Kapoor plays Rathore.
"I am feeling wonderful being back in acting and acting in a show that people are watching. Everywhere I go, I get atleast three people telling me, 'we love the show, we don't miss it, we have recorded to watch it and we like your role in that'," Mandira said here Thursday at a jewellery collection launch.
"I think the role is meant for me because otherwise I am quite weird looking to be a saas or a bahu. I think this is perfect and it is tailor-made for me," she added.
On the silver screen, she will be seen in Atul Agnihotri's "O Teri", slated to release next year.
Meanwhile her sari designing project is also keeping her busy.
