Italian football club Roma has announced that defender Antonio Rudiger will be sidelined for around two weeks after suffering a thigh injury.
"Rudiger underwent tests earlier which have revealed a minor strain to his right thigh," Roma said on Sunday.
"The German defender -- who has made 21 appearances and scored once in the league - will be sidelined for around two weeks."
Roma face Real Madrid in the second leg of their pre-quarterfinal tie of the European Champions League on Tuesday. They lost the first leg 0-2 here and their defence faces an arduous task of keeping the Real attackers away in Madrid.
