Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal says his forthcoming film "Manje Bistre" is a family film which he made with a hope to revive the romance of the 1990s' films which is now rarely seen on screen.
"It was in my mind to make such proper wedding based movie, basically showcasing 1990s romance, which is nowadays hard to see. It's a happy mode movie, which is full of Punjabi traditions and culture. It is a family film," Gippy, who has written, produced and acted in the movie, said in a statement.
Directed by Baljit Singh Deo, "Manje Bistre" also features actors Sonam Bajwa, Karamjit Anmol and Jaggi Singh.
Talking about her role, Sonam said: "My character Rano is full with exposure of the 1990s girl, where she is homely, and on the other, she is confident and cute too. As per my experience, I am really glad to be the part of this movie."
The film is scheduled to release on Friday.
