Comedy star Santhanam will be seen in a completely fresh and romantic avatar in upcoming Tamil romantic comedy "Inime Ippadi Thaan" says one of the film's directors, Prem Anand.
"We've explored the romantic angle in Santhanam. While keeping the comedy content, we've also made it a romantic outing with drama and emotions. Santhanam has worked hard and even lost some weight to look stylish in his role," Anand told IANS.
Prem Anand has co-directed the film with Murugan. It also features Ashna Zaveri and Akhila Kishore in important roles.
Santhanam will also be seen performing stunts in the movie.
"The action has been choreographed keeping in mind his image. We haven't gone overboard," he said.
Currently in post-production phase, "Inime Ippadi Thaan" is gearing up for release in May.
