Two-time FIFA World Player of the Year title winner Ronaldinho could continue his career in China after parting ways with Fluminense, according to media reports in Brazil.

The 35-year-old is a free agent after ending on Monday his three-month spell with Fluminense by mutual consent, reports Xinhua.

Reports suggest Ronaldinho is set to be offered a contract with Chinese second-tier outfit Tianjin Songjiang, who are managed by former Real Madrid and Brazil coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

"Rumour has it that the billionaire who took Luxemburgo to China demanded in the contract that the coach also accept the arrival of Ronaldinho," a Brazilian media report said on Tuesday.

"Time will tell if it's truth or fantasy, but it seems to make sense," he added.

Luxemburgo was Ronaldinho's manager at Flamengo in 2011 but they fell out the following year, just weeks before Luxemburgo was sacked.

Ronaldinho, who failed to score or provide an assist during his nine appearances for Fluminense, kept a low profile on Tuesday.

He did not post anything on social media and some pundits suggested he was considering whether to retire.
