Pakistani-printed fake Indian currency notes (FICN) with a face value of Rs.7 lakh were recovered from two people here, police said Saturday.

The consignment which Nasirul Sheikh, 21, of West Bengal and Rasmuddin, 33, of Rajasthan, both arrested, had to supply in various other states of the country was seized at National Highway-8 near the Delhi-Gurgaon border.

"Both were working as receivers who procure the consignments from Bangladesh via its porous border areas," said a police officer.

The accused told police that the syndicate is being handled by Rezaul and Saleem, both based in Malda, West Bengal.
