Mohalla Clinics became a flash point between AAP and BJP in the Delhi Assembly on Thursday with BJP MLAs terming them a failure.
Health Minister Satyendar Jain answering two questions in the Assembly -- why 1,000 Mohalla Clinics have not been opened yet and why security guards were not present at all the clinics -- said that files in this regard were pending with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.
BJP MLA Vijender Gupta said that it's not true and termed the project as a failure, which was echoed by BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
"The government is not functioning and you keep blaming others for it," Sirsa said.
This led to a commotion in the House and Speaker Ram Niwas Goel had to step in to restore decorum.
Goel said that he along with five MLAs, including the opposition, can go to the Lt Governor and ask why the files have been kept pending.
