Rupee hits record low of 65 against dollar

The Indian rupee hit yet another record low Thursday falling below 65 against a dollar for the first time.

The partially-convertible rupee touched a new low of 65.12 in pre-noon trade at the inter-bank currency market here, surpassing the previous record low of 64.52 Wednesday.

Later it recovered a bit and was trading at 64.93 against a dollar at 10.42 a.m.
