The last two gold medals in the ISU European figure skating championships went to Russia and France.

Olympic champions Tatiana Volosozhar/Maxim Trankov of Russia on Saturday scored 142.89 points and racked up 222.66 points overall to win their fourth European paris title, Xinhua reported.

Germany's Aliona Savchenko/Bruno Massot earned the silver and the bronze went to Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov of Russia.

"It was a very hard start to the day. We had an early practice then we stayed here in the rink before the free program because we had no time to go to the hotel," said Trankov.

"Most importantly, we won and we finished our programme. We lost some levels having some little mistakes. But, by the way, with all the problems we had before, I think this was quite a good free program for us."

Gabriella Papadakis/Guillaume Cizeron of France won the ice dance title with 182,71 points.

The silver went to Italy for Anna Cappellini/Luca Lanotte and Jekaterina Bobrova/Dmitrij Soloviov of Russia had the bronze.

Russia was the biggest winner, with two gold, one silver and four bronze medals, in the fourth European championships hosted by Bratislava.
