All parties concerned should resume the Minsk-format discussions and agreements over the Ukraine crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said here Tuesday.

"The Minsk agreements now are the only deals supported by all parties with no exception -- by Ukrainian sides, Russia, Belarus, the European Union(EU) and the US," Xinhua quoted Lavrov as saying during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

"So the main task is to create conditions for resumption of the Minsk process," Interfax news agency quoted him as saying.

On Sep 5, the Ukrainian government and the Donetsk and Lugansk insurgent regions inked a deal in Minsk, in a bid to de-escalate tensions in the east of the country.

However, after Kiev abolished a law on "special status" of the two regions, pro-Russian insurgents said they would not observe the Minsk protocol.
