The world governing body for cycling on Wednesday suspended Russian Tatiana Antoshina for four years for using banned drugs.
According to a statement from the International Cycling Union, the 34-year-old cyclist took a growth hormone, reports Efe.
The suspension is set to enter into force retroactively on May 31, 2016 and expire on April 3, 2020, so it is expected that the Russian will not compete again.
Antoshina, a professional racer since 2006, competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's road race in London, finishing 25th.
