Indian duo Saketh Myneni and Sanam Singh Thursday advanced to the men's doubles semi-final of the $100,000 ONGC GAIL Delhi Open ATP Challenger tennis tournament with a hard-fought win over compatriot N. Sriram Balaji and his partner Ti Chen of Chinese Taipei.
The wild card entrants, who were victorious in the Kolkata leg, won 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4), 10-7 in a match lasting an hour and 53 minutes.
Sanam, who lost in the singles opening round, and Saketh just about edged the match in the final tie-break.
Meanwhile, India No.1 Ankita Rani beat fifth seed Noppawan Lertcheewakaran of Thailand to reach the quarterfinal of the women's event.
Ankita won 6-3, 6-1 in an hour and 12 minutes to progress at the $25,000 ITF tournament.
Top men's singles player Somdev Devvarman will be in action Friday, when he takes on China's Ze Zhang in the quarterfinal.
